Work has been going on for five generations
Arun is not doing the work of carving statues for the first time. His family has been doing idol carving work for five generations. Arun’s father Yogiraj is also a skilled sculptor. His grandfather Basavanna Shilpi was protected by the King of Mysore. Talking about his education, Arun has done MBA. Earlier he was working in a private organization, but in 2008 he left his job and started doing his family work i.e. carving statues.
Arun’s relation with the statue of Subhash Chandra Bose
Whenever you visit India Gate, you must have seen a 30 feet high statue of Subhash Chandra Bose there. This idol has also been prepared by Arun Yogiraj. Actually, this statue of Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose was unveiled by PM Modi himself on 8 September 2022. However, before this, in place of this statue, PM Modi had unveiled the hologram statue of Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose at India Gate on 23 January.
